I’m a diehard Kiss Me, and I have been ever since I randomly clicked on “best kpop songs of 2011.” There was especially one group that caught my eye; U-KISS, performing their song “Neverland.” I remember seeing a bunch of pretty faces dancing a very powerful dance to a very catchy song. One music video led to another, every single variety show and interview they’ve participated in was watched, and suddenly, I was completely won over. There was no way back; I knew I would love these boys forever.
In this post, I’m going to write about the members, and my thoughts and opinions about them. We’re starting with Kevin.
Birthdate: November 25, 1991 (21)
Position: Main vocalist
Kevin is gorgeous. He really is. Note the fact that I say gorgeous and not handsome. He simply looks just as beautiful as a girl. On star king, he even dressed like a girl, calling himself Jessica (from SNSD) and the audience actually doubted whether or not he was a guy. Kevin is prettier than me – to be frank, he’s prettier than a lot of kpop girls. He has a very pretty smile, and his facial features are feminine.
With that said, he’s more than just a pretty face. He can also pull off the “tough, sexy guy” image, as shown in “Neverland.” When it comes to his body, I don’t really have much to comment on. He rarely flashes his abs, though he certainly has a nice six pack. He’s not a super muscular type, but being so thin, I think it just makes him that much more attractive.
The only thing keeping him from getting full score is just the fact that he is so pretty. I love looking at him, but he’s not my type. He’s someone I’d love to be best friends with and brag to my friends.
Kevin dressing as Jessica.
I don’t care about what anyone says about U-KISS and their mediocre music and vocalists. Kevin Woo is an amazing singer. He has an incredibly soft and soothing voice, and can hit really high notes. Kevin is an angel. He’s not the most powerful singer, nor is he completely up to par with Hoon when it comes to technique, but he’s extremely passionate, and every word is just saturated with pure sincerity.
Not only is he an amazing vocalist, he’s also a pretty good dancer. Usually having more lines than the other members, he’s also placed in the middle during the chorus, and he really isn’t a bad dancer. He can pull off any choreography given, and just like his singing, he works his butt off to nail every performance. While watching live performances of U-KISS, my eyes will automatically be drawn to him more than once. This boy was born to perform on stage.
I adore this boy. He’s possibly the friendliest kpop idol I have ever seen. He loves skinship, especially with his members. It’s obvious that Kevin is very close to his members, especially Kiseop and Eli. Fans nickname the adorable couples for “Elvin” and “Vinseop”.
What makes this boy incredibly charming is simply his kindness and thoughtfulness towards others. Being nice to everyone is in his nature. Even during interviews, he doesn’t seem to care about his image. He’s extremely talkative, funny and very eager to keep the conversation going. (watch his interview with eatyourkimchi). He loves being taken care of, which has been stated by himself. Kevin’s ideal girl is someone that will take good care of him.
Eli said that if U-KISS was girls, he would most like to date Kevin, because Kevin is feminine, and has a very caring and friendly personality.
The funny thing about Kevin is that he also has this incredible confidence, as the same time as being humble. He knows and acknowledges the fact that he’s pretty, but he’s not cocky or full of himself. He does not try to appear cooler than he is. The boy is just ridiculously down-to-earth and modest. His members say that they’ve never seen him angry, nor has he ever complained, not even when U-KISS was forced to work during their vacation. He’s a hard-working boy who gets emotional without being whiny. He’s confident without being arrogant. If you still doubt this boy’s flawlessness, watch the video below.
