I’m a diehard Kiss Me, and I have been ever since I randomly clicked on “best kpop songs of 2011.” There was especially one group that caught my eye; U-KISS, performing their song “Neverland.” I remember seeing a bunch of pretty faces dancing a very powerful dance to a very catchy song. One music video led to another, every single variety show and interview they’ve participated in was watched, and suddenly, I was completely won over. There was no way back; I knew I would love these boys forever.
This post is going to be about Kiseop.
Kiseop is known for being an ulzzang, and with good reason! He’s just pretty. Simple as. He has extremely beautiful facial feautures. His small, full lips and gorgeous eyes are simply mesmerizing (no, I’m not being biased). When he smiles…have you ever seen such a pretty smile?
Once he’s on a stage though – BAM! He’s super charismatic and sexy. Kiseop also has quite a nice body. He’s thin, but he has abs, and his muscular arms are to die for. Most guys are usually either cute, pretty or manly. He’s all three.
Everytime I listen to one of U-KISS’ songs, my heart just hurts for this boy. He has such a beautiful and soft voice, but poor guy doesn’t get any lines. It pisses me off, to be frank. In 0330, he got one line. ONE. He looked like he wanted to sing more so badly. Kiseop may not have a powerful voice like Soohyun or Hoon, but his voice is just so damn soft, and he really sounds great when he sings ballads. (listen to When Love Stops). I feel bad for him, honestly. He’s kind of like Eli – they both have gorgeous voices and are more than capable of singing, they just don’t get the chance to prove it. Except for in Eli’s case, he’s the rapper, so he’s not supposed to sing a lot. But Kiseop is one of the vocalist in the group, damn it. Give him more training and attention – please.
And, isn’t the main dancer supposed to be, well, what do I know, the main dancer? As in the person that’s in the center whenever they do a hard choreography? No? Is it just me? Honestly, watch any music video of U-KISS and you’ll have a hard time finding Kiseop among the group (unless you’re obsessed with him, like I am). He’s usually pushed to the side or to the very back of every choreography, even though he’s clearly the best dancer. I was really glad that he got the attention he deserved in “Stop Girl.” It was a nice moment for him – he finally got to be in the center. When asked if he wanted to be in the middle of every choreography, he said, “not always, but sometimes would be nice.” My poor baby.
Kiseop is probably the most underrated member in the group – he’s never the best at anything. Not the main dancer, not the main singer. He’s not an actor, nor does he really participate in any variety shows without U-KISS. He’s not a MC, he doesn’t film commercials. So what the hell does he do? Poor guy gets called useless simply because he doesn’t get the chance to prove how amazingly talented he is. I hope he’ll get the attention he deserves one day, and rightfully so. Not just because he’s a pretty face.
I have no words to describe how absolutely perfect Kiseop is. I fell in love with him the moment I saw his true, adorkable side in “U-KISS vampire” and “Chef’s Kiss.” He comes off as awfully shy at first, but when he feels comfortable, he’s just about the funniest guy you’ll ever (kinda) meet. Sometimes, he’ll just be lost in his own world, and when he finally says or does something, it’s so random and weird that you can’t help but wonder just exactly what is going on in his head. He’s so friendly, sweet and extremely affectionate – especially towards his members. He’s polite, humble and extremely grateful for everything.
The first thing he did after becoming a member of U-KISS was to apologize to the fans and ask them to accept him as a new member in a humble way. First of all, what the hell did he apologize for? And second of all, who wouldn’t accept this boy? All the members have stated that Kiseop is the most hard-working member.
His 4-D personality is just hilarious. Kiseop is seriously afraid of everything. And it’s absolutely adorable.
I think that if U-KISS were ever to disband, Kiseop would be hurt the most. His members are truly like family to him, and he’s extremely proud and thankful for being a part of U-KISS. We all know that he once struggled with depression and even considered committing suicide because he’d been rejected so many times. His dream was to become a singer, a performer, and for a young boy to be rejected and have his dream crushed over and over again is just heartbreaking. Then he made it into U-KISS. And I believe that it means everything to him; not being a singer or a performer, but being a part of a group. A family. I think he would be absolutely devastated if they split up. When Xander told him he’d quit, Kiseop responded with, “Think again. If you quit, you’re leaving me behind.” Aww…how sad isn’t that?
He’s perfect. If you’re close to him, he’ll be the most loyal, loving, caring, sweetest and kindest friend you’ll ever have. He’ll treasure you, take care of you, and let you know how much you mean to him. Because he’s perfect like that.
